Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-4 Arsenal

Arsenal enjoyed a comfortable victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Barclays Premier League.


The Gunners got a helping hand in the first half from the home side, with both Ronald Zubar and Jody Craddock scoring own goals.

Arsenal kept their foot on the pedal, Cesc Fabregas and Andrei Arshavin extending their lead before Craddock got a consolation goal at the correct end.

Arsenal ace Arshavin: So close to Tottenham move

Arsenal ace Andrey Arshavin admits he would have happily joined Tottenham if they had come in for him last season.

It could have been so much different if Tottenham had been able to agree a fee with Zenit St Petersburg in August last year.

Arshavin says he had talks in broken English with Spaniard Juande Ramos, telling Bobsoccer: "I was not against a move to Tottenham.

"If it was down to just me to reach an agreement, the move could have taken place."
